Start With Food

An old but simple trick still works. Put your food on a smaller plate. If you eat less than you normally do, and it is the right foods you are reducing, your diet will become healthier with very little effort. Cut down on the protein and carbs on your plate and make sure there is plenty of vegetables or salads instead.

If you really must snack make it some fruit or nuts rather than biscuits or sweets, and leave those fizzy drinks alone. They are so full of sugar and chemicals that they are no good for you at all. Add to this some incidental exercise, such as climbing the stairs instead of using the lift, and you will be fitter than you have been for a while. You may struggle with some of the exercises to start with, but the more you do the easier it will become.

Meditate

Just 5 minutes meditation at the start of your day can do wonders for your well being. There are many different ways to meditate and it might be a bit of trial and error till you find the one that suits you. It will be well worth the effort though, as your day will start of much brighter just for the sake of meditating for 5 minutes.

Have Enough Rest


It can be difficult with a busy lifestyle to fit in some time just to rest, but it is vitally important that you do.  Although sleep is very important for someone that wants to be fit and healthy there are other times you need to rest as well. Instead of a quick shower, have a relaxing soak in the tub instead. As well as resting your body the warm water will relax your muscles, and the ‘you time’ of being in the bath will help to keep your stress levels down.
