Visualisation is one of the most powerful mind exercises you can do. The best selling book, The Secret said, “The law of attraction is forming your entire life experience and it is doing that through your thoughts. When you are visualising, you are emitting a powerful frequency out into the Universe.”

For many years I have kept a vision board, at times it’s been put away, my life started to go off to a not so pleasant angle, and I get the board out, update it and voila! Life gets back on track as my focus is on point once again!
Vision boards can be incredibly inspiring and here’s how to make a vision board for your future success.
A vision board is normally a poster board/pin board on which you paste, pin or collage images that you’ve cut out from various magazines or downloaded off the internet and printed.
The idea behind this is that when you focus daily on the images on your vision board and put your mind’s intention behind those pictures and words, your life changes to match those images and those desires.
For instance, when I was a professional comper, I knew when I was going to win a certain competition I was entering. I had a very positive mind-set that I would win, my vision board matched the mindset and that in turn kept the momentum and belief. I’ll be honest, my gut instinct was spot on many times over!
Vision boards add clarity to your desires and feeling to your visions. That is a powerful process!
To get started with how to make a vision board, you’ll need these supplies:
How to make a vision board in 5 steps:
Step 1: You will need a pin board, pins and some magazines and/or access to a computer and printer
Step 2: Go through the images and begin to lay your favourites on the board. Eliminate any images that no longer feel right. This step is where your intuition comes in. As you lay the pictures on the board, you’ll get a sense how the board should be laid out. For instance, you might assign a theme to each corner of the board. Health, Job, Spirituality, Relationships, for instance. Or it may just be that the images want to go all over the place.
Step 3: Pin everything onto the board. Add writing if you want. You can write words or print pictures and quotes too.
Step 4: You can add this very good tip of a photo of yourself – as a centre piece, to add the va va voom to your intentions!
Step 5: Place your vision board in a place where you will see it often.
